Hello! I am a composer with a broad range of musical experience and interests. I am a classically trained musician in Western music (New England Conservatory, MM ’86; U. of Massachusetts at Amherst, BM ’76). I have also performed with jazz groups, and my interest in the larger world of music has given me opportunities and commissions for composing for musical instruments of other traditions, especially those of Japan. My Autumn Vistas will be premiered on February 18th by the Lowell Chamber Orchestra of Massachusetts. Here is a computer generated version from Note Performer software to give you a sense of the music (the score unfolds in the video as the music progresses).
